Maritime & logistics

Software for the port, from quay to case file

For terminals, freight forwarders, inspection companies, shipping lines and every logistics party around them. We know the document flow around a cargo and the time pressure that comes with it, and we build the automation on top of that.

    Who it is for

Software for companies in the port

We build software and AI solutions for everyone who works with cargo, documents and inspections every day. From terminal to forwarder, from shipping line to carrier, warehouse or customs agent: if you work in or around the port, this is for you. We can do that because we know the processes: we work with a maritime and logistics consultant with 25 years in the port, 20 of them as a cargo surveyor, from terminal to inspection floor.

What our specialists see in the field

The process runs on Word and Excel

Reports, overviews and document flows live in loose files on OneDrive or in email.

The same data is entered four times

Retyping between files and systems takes time and causes errors that only show up later.

Nobody sees the status at a glance

People call and email to find out where a shipment, order or file stands.

    Checking has turned into administrating

Across the chain, a large part of the day goes into paperwork instead of the work itself.

    Solutions

    Our solutions for the port

A cargo inspection is eighty percent administration: reading in the nomination, retyping measurements, building the report, informing the client. Operium Harbor runs that chain in one system, FOSS, where the inspector, the inspection company and the end client each have their own view of the same shipment. People stay in charge where it counts legally: the certified signature.

    01

FOSS: from nomination to signed report

FOSS is Operium's software for this chain, for independent surveyors and international inspection companies. The inspector enters field values once. The system builds the report and keeps the client informed in real time, with no Excel, no retyping and no email back and forth about the status.

Now in development: AI integration on the platform.

From a full working day to a morning per tank

A multinational in inspection and certification checked vegetable oils across three systems: measurements in Excel, certificates in Word, status updates by email. The process now runs as a single chain and the client follows along live.

We expected a software project of a year or two. Within a few months there was a working system. Before, we only worked with Excel; now the administrative work per unit goes from eight hours to two. With five to ten units per ship, that adds up quickly. And just as important to us: our data is well protected and everything is properly arranged legally.
